India's largest broker, with Kite MCP that lets Claude and other AI assistants read your Zerodha account.
Kite MCP: chat with your holdings, P&L and margins from Claude
Overview
Zerodha is India's largest stock broker by active clients, covering NSE and BSE equities, futures and options, and direct mutual funds. It is for Indian investors and traders who want to query their own account through an AI assistant.
Kite MCP, released May 20, 2025, connects Claude, Cursor and VS Code to your Zerodha account so the assistant can pull holdings, P&L, positions, margins and live market data and do the math for you. It runs on the Kite Connect API, and Zerodha also publishes an open-source version of the server. Equity delivery trades cost ₹0, and intraday and F&O orders are a flat ₹20 or 0.03%, whichever is lower.
The catch: this is Indian markets only, and the MCP is built for reading and analysis, so treat any order tooling with care. Trustpilot reviewers score Zerodha 1.6 from a small sample. Skip it if you do not hold an Indian trading account.
Pros
- Free Kite MCP for Claude and Cursor
- ₹0 brokerage on equity delivery
- Open-source MCP server on GitHub
Cons
- Indian markets only
- Trustpilot score of 1.6
