Overview
Questrade is a Canadian discount broker for self-directed investors trading Canadian and US stocks, ETFs and options. It suits Canadians who want an AI assistant on their account and simple rule-based automation.
Its agentic finance push, launched July 2026, has two parts. An MCP server at mcp.questrade.com connects Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex to your portfolio and watchlists. Flows, inside Questrade Pro, run standing instructions such as buy the dip, cash sweep or concentration trim. Stock, ETF and US options trades are $0, and Questrade Plus costs $19.99 a month for extras like free journaling.
The catch: several Flows are still marked coming soon, and Trustpilot reviewers score Questrade 1.3 even as the app rates 4.7. It serves Canadian residents only. Skip it if you are outside Canada.
