iPhone stock research app with AI reports, a plain-English screener, Congress trades and Reddit tracking.
OtterBot chat that screens stocks from plain English
Overview
OtterQuant is a US stock research app for iPhone built by a small shop, OtterApplications LLC. It packs a portfolio tracker, watchlist news, earnings transcripts, a Congress trade tracker and a WallStreetBets mention tracker into one screen. It is for the retail investor who is tired of paying for five tabs.
The AI piece is OtterBot. Pick a stock and it writes a one-click financial report. Ask it a question and it answers from the app's own live market data, which also makes it a natural-language screener. The app says it covers about 12,000 stocks, more than 50 metrics per ticker and checks for new Congressional disclosures every 10 minutes.
The catch: free users get three AI requests a week and delayed charts. Congress trades, Reddit tracking and full transcripts sit behind PRO at $16.99 a month or $170 a year. It is US markets only and charts stop at one year. There is no Android app and no API. Options traders and anyone who needs deep history should look elsewhere.
Pros
- Free tier with AI reports and screener
- Congress and Reddit trackers in one app
- PRO costs $16.99 a month
Cons
- Free plan capped at 3 AI uses a week
- US stocks only, charts stop at 1 year
