OpenAlice

AI Trading Platform — Free

Free open-source desk that lets Claude Code or Codex research markets and stage trades you approve.

Trades staged like code commits for you to review

Overview

OpenAlice is a free, open-source trading workspace you install on your own machine. It is for technical traders who already use coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex and want them to work on markets. The team behind TraderAlice released the code in February 2026 and it has passed 7,000 GitHub stars.

The agent gets a workspace with files, memory, schedules and market data. It researches, runs quant studies and writes reports to an inbox. When it wants to trade, it stages the order like a code commit. You see the account, side, size and order type, then approve it. Optional broker packs cover Alpaca, Interactive Brokers, Longbridge and crypto exchanges. A built-in simulator works with no broker at all.

The catch is setup. You host it, you bring your own AI subscription and you manage your own keys. There is no hosted plan and no phone app. Broker and order support varies by venue, so test on paper first. If a terminal window makes you nervous, skip this one.

Is OpenAlice Legit? FAQ

Is OpenAlice legit?

OpenAlice is a working product, but it is new. It has fewer than 10 reviews on Trustpilot, G2, the App Store and Product Hunt, so there is no public track record yet. We list it because it has a real AI feature, not because it paid us. The biggest drawback we found: Self-hosted setup takes technical skill.

How much does OpenAlice cost?

OpenAlice is free to use. Prices change, so confirm on the official site before you pay.

Does OpenAlice have a free trial?

Yes. OpenAlice offers a free trial, so you can test it before paying.

Does OpenAlice have an API or MCP server?

OpenAlice offers an API or webhooks you can connect to your own code or trading bot. We found no MCP server for AI assistants.
