Signal Congress

Research & Analysis — Freemium

Congress trade tracker that scores each disclosure for anomalies and writes AI briefs, with API and MCP access.

Flags bipartisan clusters in Congress stock trades

Overview

Signal Congress is a Congress trade tracker built for researchers, not headline readers. It follows every STOCK Act filing since 2018 and asks a narrower question than most: is this trade unusual for this member? It is known for bipartisan cluster detection and for working inside Claude.

Each trade gets a conviction score from 0 to 100 across five inputs: committee proximity, cluster membership, outside signals such as contracts and lobbying, behavior patterns and network effects. The site calls a high score a triage signal, not a buy signal. It cross-checks 8 data sources and flags when members of both parties buy the same stock in a 60-day window. The AI piece is direct. Claude Sonnet 4.6 writes a plain-English summary for every high-conviction trade, and paid tiers include an MCP server so Claude or ChatGPT can query the data.

The catch is price and anonymity. The free tier shows 30 days of trades and a top 10 leaderboard. Paid plans start at $99 a month and climb to $999, and the AI briefs begin at the $299 tier. No company or person is named as the operator. Disclosures can trail a trade by 45 days or more. Skip it if you want a cheap alert service or a mobile app.
