NinjaTrader

Broker — Freemium

US futures broker with a beta MCP server that lets Claude or ChatGPT read your account and place futures orders.

Beta MCP lets an AI agent place and manage futures orders

Overview

NinjaTrader is a US futures broker and platform, home to day traders working micro and standard index, energy and metals contracts. It owns Tradovate. It is for futures traders who want to test an AI agent against a real account.

In September 2026 NinjaTrader opened a beta MCP server that connects Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor over OAuth. A connected agent can search contracts, read live quotes and DOM snapshots, place and manage orders and check risk settings, with separate Demo and Live environments. Pricing has a free plan at $0.39 per micro contract, a $99 monthly plan at $0.29, and a $1,499 lifetime plan at $0.09.

The catch: the MCP is labeled beta and pre-release, so tools and onboarding can change, and an agent trading margined futures can lose money fast. Start on Demo. Skip it if you trade stocks or options, since this is futures only.
