Insider Trades

Research & Analysis — Freemium

Web and mobile app that lists SEC insider buys and sells as they are filed, with alerts, an API and an MCP server.

SEC Form 4 insider trades with cluster-buy flags

Overview

Insider Trades tracks what executives, directors and 10% owners do with their own company stock. It reads SEC Forms 3, 4 and 5 and posts each trade as it is filed, with the role, price and size. It is for investors who use insider buying as a research signal. It is known for being quick, simple and available on the web, iPhone and Android.

The home screen ranks the largest executive and director buys, flags cluster buying when several insiders purchase the same stock, and shows buy and sell totals for the week. You can follow companies and insiders on watchlists and get alerts. The AI angle is a connector, not a model. Its MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor query the filing data directly, and a REST API with Node.js and Python SDKs is sold separately. We saw no AI analysis inside the app itself.

The catch is that the raw data is public and free on SEC EDGAR. You pay for speed and packaging. There is a free plan, Pro is $17.99 a month, and annual billing costs less. The publisher, Goodtech LLC, names no individuals, and the iOS app has only a handful of ratings. Do not confuse it with insidertrades.com, a different site. Skip it if you want charts, screening or anything beyond insider filings.

Is Insider Trades Legit? FAQ

Is Insider Trades legit?

Insider Trades is a working product, but it is new. It has fewer than 10 reviews on Trustpilot, G2, the App Store and Product Hunt, so there is no public track record yet. The biggest drawback we found: Same raw data is free on SEC EDGAR.
