Financial data API with 30 years of prices and fundamentals, plus an official MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT.

Plug market data straight into Claude or ChatGPT via MCP

Overview

EODHD is a market data API for developers, quants and anyone building their own tools. It covers end-of-day and intraday prices, fundamentals, dividends, splits, news and economic data across global exchanges, with up to 30 years of history. Libraries cover Python, R, Node.js, PHP and Java, with add-ons for Excel and Google Sheets.

The AI angle is real: an official MCP server with 72 tools works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and custom agents, and there is a Claude Code skill pack, an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and a ChatGPT assistant for conversational lookups. Pricing is clear. Free is a sandbox, EOD Historical is $19.99 a month, EOD plus Intraday $29.99, Fundamentals $59.99 and All-in-One $99.99, with two months off on annual billing. The MCP server is included on every plan.

The catch: the free plan is a toy, with a demo key that covers AAPL only and a small daily call budget. Calls are weighted, so fundamentals and bulk requests drain the allowance fast. Specialist datasets cost extra. Skip it if you do not write code or use an AI agent, because there is no trading app here.
